Make No Mistake Pool
An honest and straight forward approach.
This pool was meant to be heavily used by three generations of a family, so ease of maintenance, safety and practicality were top priorities of the brief, plus some fun elements for the younger ones.
The pool was to be located in a building at the end of the garden, but due to objections by neighbours, the building had to be half in and half out of the ground. Two sheer descent waterfalls provide the fun much appreciated by the juniors and seniors alike.

Building a pool in a half-sunken garden building
Lowering a pool building into the ground cuts its visual impact, but it changes the engineering. The below-ground walls are retaining structures and need waterproofing to BS 8102, and the excavation must account for ground conditions and neighbouring foundations.
For a family pool used every day, we keep the details simple and robust: broad entry steps, slip-resistant surrounds, automated water treatment and plant that is easy to reach for routine checks. Sheer descent waterfalls run from a separate pump, so they can be switched on only when wanted.
