Swimming Pool Builders & Contractors in London

Bespoke concrete swimming pools for homes across London and the South East — outdoor, indoor and basement.

We design and build reinforced concrete swimming pools and nothing else. After 25 years of building only pools, every one we hand over gets the same specification, the same 72-hour pressure test and the same ten-year structural guarantee, whatever its size.

  • Itemised quotes, line by line — no variations unless you change the scope

  • 72-hour pressure test before a single tile goes on

  • 10-year structural guarantee on the concrete shell and waterproofing

What we build — bespoke concrete pools only

We build reinforced concrete pools only: no fibreglass shells, steel panels or timber kits. Concrete is the one method that allows any shape, depth or finish, works underground, and lasts the life of the property when it is specified and built properly.

  • Outdoor swimming pools — garden pools from compact plunge pools to vanishing-edge designs, with heat-pump heating and automatic covers.

  • Indoor swimming pools — pools in extensions, pool houses and garden buildings, with dehumidification designed to a moisture-load calculation.

  • Basement swimming pools — pools beneath London homes, with BS 8102 waterproofing and structural coordination with your engineer.

  • Spas, plunge pools and wellness rooms — tiled spas, plunge pools, steam rooms and saunas built alongside the pool.

  • Refurbishment — retiling, re-waterproofing and plant upgrades for existing pools.

How we build — one contractor, survey to handover

We manage the whole pool package — structure, waterproofing, tiling, filtration, heating, ventilation, lighting and electrics — and coordinate groundworks with your main builder.

  1. Survey and design. Site and access survey, ground and drainage review, then 2D plans, a 3D visualisation and a full structural specification. Free, before you commit.

  2. Concrete shell. In-situ or sprayed C35/45 water-resistant concrete, with curing managed to stop shrinkage cracks. The cured shell is inspected before anything else happens.

  3. Waterproofing and pressure test. Multi-layer cementitious waterproofing, then a 72-hour fill test. Loss must stay under 2–3 mm a day, or the pool does not move on to tiling.

  4. Plant and electrics. Variable-speed pumps (50–70% less electricity than fixed-speed), automatic chemical dosing, and electrics by NICEIC-registered engineers to BS 7671 Section 702.

  5. Tiling and finishing. EN 12004 adhesives, double-buttered for 95% coverage, with movement joints at every change of plane.

  6. Commissioning and handover. Every system set and tested, plus a handover pack with the pressure test record, electrical certificate, manuals and your 10-year structural guarantee.

Six questions to ask any swimming pool contractor

Two quotes can look similar and specify very different pools. Ask every contractor these questions and compare the answers line by line.

  1. Is your quote itemised at component level? A headline price hides thinner membranes, cheaper adhesives and single-speed pumps. Our answer: Yes — every concrete, waterproofing, tile, pump and valve line is listed.

  2. What waterproofing system do you use, and how is it tested? Most pool leaks start at joints and penetrations. Our answer: A multi-layer cementitious system and a 72-hour pressure test before tiling.

  3. Who does the electrical work? Pools are a special location under the wiring regulations. Our answer: NICEIC-registered engineers to BS 7671 Section 702, with a certificate at handover.

  4. How do you handle a basement pool? Below-ground work needs a recognised waterproofing standard and structural coordination. Our answer: Designed to BS 8102 and coordinated with your structural engineer.

  5. What does the guarantee cover? A guarantee on equipment alone says little about the structure. Our answer: Ten years on the concrete shell and waterproofing, backed by professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

  6. How often do you issue variations? Variations are where budgets overrun. Our answer: Never, unless the client has changed the scope.

Questions about hiring a pool builder

Do you work as the main contractor or alongside one?

Both. We manage the full pool package and coordinate groundworks with your builder, or work under a principal contractor alongside your architect and structural engineer.

Which areas do you cover?

London and the South East. Recent projects include Mayfair, Regent's Park, North West London, Henley-on-Thames and Chigwell.

Do you build fibreglass or above-ground pools?

No. We build bespoke reinforced concrete pools only, because concrete gives full freedom of shape and works below ground.

Is the design and quote really free?

Yes. The survey, 2D plans, 3D visualisation, structural specification and itemised quote are all free, before you commit.

What guarantee do I get?

Ten years on the concrete shell and waterproofing, backed by our professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Why is your quote higher than another contractor's?

Compare the itemised lines. The gap is usually specification — a thinner waterproofing membrane, a cheaper tile adhesive or a single-speed pump — not margin.

Can you build a pool in a basement?

Yes. Basement pools are designed to BS 8102, with ducted dehumidification and structural coordination with your engineer.
