Curved Indoor Freeform Pool, Mapesbury
When a pool is not just a pool.
This bespoke indoor swimming pool in Mapesbury, North West London, swaps straight lines for flowing curves. The result is a freeform pool that feels like a natural part of the home rather than a box set into the floor.
The family wanted a pool they could use every day of the year, with a softer, more relaxed feel than a traditional rectangular lap pool. A curved swimming pool needs real precision at every stage. The reinforced concrete shell, the waterproofing and the tiling all have to follow the curve exactly, with no visible joints or flat spots. That is where specialist indoor pool design makes the difference.
With any indoor pool, the room matters as much as the water. The pool hall is served by a heat-recovery dehumidification system that keeps the air comfortable, protects the building and keeps running costs down. Energy-efficient filtration and heating keep the water clear and warm all year. Underwater LED lighting picks out the curves after dark.
How much does an indoor pool cost in London?
This curved indoor pool was a £100k project, including design, construction and all the pool equipment. Our indoor pools in London start from £75k. The final cost depends on size, shape, finishes and the ventilation the room needs. See our Indoor Pool Prices page for a full breakdown.
