This luxury basement swimming pool in Sydenham Hill, South London, was designed as a cave-like retreat. Every surface is clad in glass mosaic tiles, and an integrated spa pool with massage jets and cascading water features sits alongside the main pool. A skylight brings natural daylight down into the space.

Colour-changing LED pool lighting and a recessed LED ceiling cove transform the mood from calm and serene to dramatic at the touch of a button. Energy-efficient filtration, heating and dehumidification keep the water and air comfortable all year round, and the running costs down.
