Types of Pool Refurbishment

Plaster

Plaster is a blend of water, white cement, marble sand or limestone. It’s applied to the entire pool using a flat, rounded-edge tool. However, it is not going to be white necessarily and can be coloured to fix a different colour design. Although it may feel rough in touch, it’s an extremely affordable option in comparison to possibilities, plus it gives a classic and elegant look to your pool. Also, you need to do weekly maintenance, and acid washes every 3-5 years to prevent the algae growing.

Aggregate

Aggregate coatings are a mixture of materials, such as pebbles, glass beads, quartz, and cement. After applying it on your pool, it needs to be wiped off from the uppermost layer of plaster to reveal the pebbles. Exposed and polished are two types of aggregate finishes. Aggregate polished creates a smooth texture, so the surface looks alike and is polished flat.

Tile

Porcelain, stone, or glass, tiles are a few examples of a popular choice across London. Sometimes, people like to mix the different types of tile within their pool to enhance the artistic beauty. Either finished, painted, or textured; this covering provides your pool a more upscale look. Additionally, it’s easier to clean than aggregate.
